June 8, 1888: Kodak Camera Patent

On this day in 1888, George Eastman received a patent for his Kodak camera, revolutionizing photography by making it accessible to the general public. Eastman's invention used a flexible roll film instead of photographic plates, with the slogan "You press the button, we do the rest."

Our Story

Public Frame Photography was founded in 2010 by Emma Walker, a landscape photographer with a vision to create a collaborative studio where photographers of different specialties could work together to offer clients a comprehensive range of photographic services.

What began as a small studio with just two photographers has grown into a team of dedicated professionals with expertise spanning landscapes, portraits, weddings, commercial photography, and more. Our shared passion for visual storytelling and technical excellence has helped us build a reputation for creating images that not only document moments but evoke emotion.

Over the years, we've had the privilege of working with hundreds of clients, from couples capturing their wedding day to businesses seeking to elevate their brand imagery. Each project has contributed to our growth and evolution as photographers and as a studio.

Today, Public Frame Photography continues to be driven by our founding principles: technical excellence, creative vision, and genuine connection with our clients. We believe that the best photographs emerge when technical skill meets artistic vision and authentic human connection.
